YOUR COMMUNITY NEEDS YOU! An exciting opportunity to volunteer with young people (school years 7-11). Stalbridge Youth club is reopening! (hopefully in September 2023). This will be operated by Youth Connect South West. We are looking for volunteers to support the Senior Youth worker and assistant for 2 hours, once or twice a month. There is also an opportunity for volunteers who want to take qualifications to do so. Alternatively, just come along and take part in this rewarding role. To register your interest and find out more and have a no obligation chat - please submit your details by emailing your name and contact details to:- clerk@stalbridgetowncouncil.gov.uk |
Between Christmas and February of 2023, the car scheme in Stalbridge arranged 44 journeys to take people from out town to doctor and hospital appointments. This was only possible because of the generosity of our drivers who give up their time to help those who are unable to drive themselves to appointments. At the moment, we are very short of drivers and have sometimes had to turn away passengers seeking transport. Could you consider being a volunteer driver for our scheme? Expenses are paid and you get to meet local people and have the satisfaction of knowing you are doing something really worthwhile to help our community. If you think you could be one of our drivers, please phone Annie or Helen on 07726 100299. |
We are desperately looking for some more volunteers. Do you have a few hours to spare? Would you like to work in a fun, friendly team? If so, we are looking for people who might be able to help by doing a shift or two. Shifts would be 9am to 12.30pm or 12.30pm to 4pm on weekdays, or the odd Saturday shift would be from 9am to 12 noon. If you are interested in helping, then please pop along to the shop and ask to speak to Joan or Nicky or leave your name and number for them to drop you a call or even drop us a message on our Facebook page with your contact details for one of us to give you a call. Click on our logo above to access the facebook page and send us a message. |
